Four children killed by a bomb explosion in central Mali

At least four children died on Wednesday from the explosion of an artisanal bomb in the Malian town of Dia Bozo, located in the center of the country, according to the Army's confirmation on Friday.

In a brief statement, he said that a total of five children were injured, four of whom died later. The locality is located between Diafarabé and Tenenkou.

For the moment, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The north of Mali is a convulsed region with the presence of French troops since the Tuareg revolt of 2013, which was quickly hijacked by jihadist groups, which provoked the military intervention of Paris in its former colony. The instability has spread in the last months towards the central zone of the country.

Several armed groups have executed several attacks in Mali in recent months, one of the most serious being a suicide attack carried out in January 2017 against a Gao military base, in which at least 77 soldiers and members of militias that signed the agreement died. of peace.
